Illegal Aliens
It's sad. Just the other night while running around on the dunes in the early AM I found out one of the illegal who was fired from my work place almost killed another man in an armed robbery. Reading through the paper all I find are familiar names of people who were once hard workers getting arrested for DUI, assault, robbery, domestic violence and so on. So I ask, why didn't they just get it over with and get their papers? I know some did, as a matter in fact some have even asked to come back to work. But why not the rest? Or go back to Mexico? They would have a free ride there, Their families would be safe here until they could get things together. Am I looking at this the worng way? I mean, I know some of these families. Some how it would be a better way to just get the paperwork done than to spend the next few years in jail and then get deported and not be able to come back. The families will now pay for this in ways they can't expect. To offer amnesty will only make it worse unless things are changed in that law. My brother is for the amnesty, the way he looks at it they will get sent back for a certain amount of time anyway, but what of those who aren't honest? It's already taking too long to track the illegals, so why make it harder? Close the border now and then try to track them. Most are just running across to come out in another state anyway. But that's just my thoughts on the subject.

The illegal question is a tough one. It all depends on how much the illegal part means. On one hand it can be an indicator that the person who breals the law to get in could, by extension, have no moral qualms about breaking other laws.
I sometimes find myself wondering if it was constitutional to make laws limiting immigration. They are relatively new, after all.
Maybe if there must be laws, they shouldn't be quite so harsh?
Have you thought about applying for a job with ICE. as an illegal finder?
Well, first we need to shoot the judge who blocked the Homeland Security law from going into effect (sending notices to employers that some of their employees have bogus Social Insecurity numbers...get'em fixed or get hammered!). Of course, the President Crawfish Border Control Plan, as found in The Swamp, would stop the inflow.
A sprinkling of Avada Kadavra usage by ICE agents and Minutemen...(okay, so I read your profile...and I like those books, too!)
